i really dig the sense of texture in you're stuff finlay! i love the sense of mood you convey through your environments. i noticed that you usually lean to wards a very cool pallet, is that intentional on your part or is it just a color you naturally gravitate towards?

and i love how you hatched the values on that first sketch

Ooh your use of colour is wonderful, I especially like the portrait in the second image. I always find it admirable when artists can use variations/transitions in colour to blend them together even when using a basic round brush.
