Arts & Crafts / Comic Scripting vs Storyboardi...
Last post by NocturnalPossum - May 05, 2026, 04:39 PM
Do y'all tend to plan comics with Storyboards or Scripting?
I can see a strong argument for storyboarding in a visual medium so as to make it very cohesive, but scripting also seems like a more efficient way to plot out the story without having to spend a ton of time planning or drawing even very rudimentary panel layouts and drawing.
I can also see how someone, with enough practice, could be storyboarding in their head when they write a simple or full comic script.
I ask because I'm going to be working from some writing in a sort of interview style that's provided to me and I'm a bit indecisive with how I want to tackle it.  :nukobrowse:

thank u jean!!

here is something i've been working on the past few days :^) i've been traveling and passing through big cities several times recently and its a very surreal experience as someone from a much more rural area! it's very beautiful and exciting and overwhelming and awesome and there's so much to see and hear and taste and smell and i wanted to capture that feeling  :nukoyay:

Yes, it weighs heavily on my mind every day.
It's the hardest to realize how systemic it is.
But it helps a lot to maintain your relationships with other people, especially when it's part of a community trying to make the world a better place.  :comfmonk:
You and I can change the world, stranger, and that's a beautiful thing.
