Title: c's corner ✸
Post by: krzchn「c」 on Mar 14, 2026, 10:01 PM
i've been putting it off long enough... welcome to my sketchbook! (https://krzchn.net/images/pickles.gif)

i'll just start with these recent sketches to get the ball rolling. i'm not planning to post a lot of my older work, but you can see more in the artchives section of my website (https://krzchn.net/art/artchives)!

i'm so happy you got around to start a sketchbook! always a treat seeing your art.  :nukocheer:  :nukocheer:  :nukocheer:
man, every time i see tristel i wish i could squeeze him between my hands. the way your texture brushes make him look a little rough is so very nice.  :nukoshy:

thank youuu, i've been enjoying just rendering everything with my sketch brush lately, i think that's what gives this rough quality you're talking about.
i've been trying to think about how he'd react but i guess it would depend if he sees it as a threat or not, ahah!

thank you jay!! likewise, i stopped myself from commenting bc i felt like just saying 'cool work' wasn't worth a post, but i've been enjoying looking through your sketchbook!

i want to add some self designed covers to my portfolio bc i would love to get into cover illustration some day... here's an attempt.
i think it needs some more work but it's a good start!

i also made this little button yesterday because i've been adding to my website the past couple of days!

browsing your artchives makes me long for a whole c artbook. i seriously love that pic of zenos... his nose is so awesome....
(after posting this i checked your website and ordered one of your books actually omg.)
it's also really interesting to see the development of your personal style, i think in 2024 leading to 2025 you cultivated such a rich sense of style in your work with the textures and frames and moody colours. :givflower:

it sure has been a journey. thank you for the compliments i feel like this rn :gimmiflowers: (spoiled baby)
last year i tried to focus on improving composition and level of polish - mostly training  myself to be more patient, i used to very rarely take more than 2 sittings to finish smth bc i got impatient to be done with it. being able to get fresh eyes on my own work more has helped a lot i think!

That cover came out really lovely C! Makes me think of compositions on older paperback fantasy books, I really dig it. Especially that subtle gradient gives it that airbrush feel.
